Work consist of improvements to the existing location to include construction of an 800 foot long, high level, center island platform, a platform canopy, a pedestrian overpass, platform access ramps, a lighting system, a variable message sign system, signage, sidewalks, a drop off area and plaza, parking lot entrance widening and other site improvements, features and elements necessary to create a fully accessible and functional commuter rail station. These improvements will be made while the existing Littleton Station continues to function.
This Contract is subject to a financial assistance Contract between the MBTA and the Federal Transit Administration of U.S. Department of Transportation. FTA Participation 100 percent under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.
