***The pre-proposal meeting will proceed as scheduled; based on current weather conditions and forecast, we expect that travel conditions will be acceptable. Please note that attendance at the pre-proposal meeting is not mandatory; interested parties who are not able to attend in person are invited to call in to the meeting (conference number is 866-648-9462, access code is 4585148#). Any questions or requests for clarification on the RFR must be submitted in writing to the project contact (e-mail submissions are acceptable), or formally asked in the pre-proposal meeting, we have extended the deadline for written submission of questions to 5:00 PM on Friday, February 4, 2011.*** The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, acting through the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), requests responses from qualified parties to administer a Pay-As-You-Drive (PAYD) Automobile Insurance Pilot Project. Qualified vendor(s) must include a licensed insurance company that can underwrite automobile insurance policies, as well as a data collection and analysis subcontractor that is an independent entity and not a part of the insurance company.
A pre-proposal meeting will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Conference Room of the Office of Transportation Planning, Room 4150, 10 Park Plaza, Boston, Massachusetts.
To support the application for federal funding of this project, MassDOT requests that interested bidders send a letter stating their intention to submit a proposal to the project contact by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 (e-mail submissions are acceptable). This letter is optional and will be considered non-binding (i.e. bidders may submit a response even if they have not submitted a letter, and submitting a letter does not commit the sender to submit a response).
