The purpose of this procurement is to seek applicants able to provide specialized victim intervention services for individuals and families in need of assistane within a healthcare setting in the aftermath of a violent crime, specifically in cases of homicide or attempted homicide. Funds will be awarded to at least one and no more than two agencies in Massachusetts for a 15 month period beginning April 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012. Funds must support full-time position(s) only to provide direct intervention services to victims, their families, and loved ones in the immediate aftermath of a violent crime. Services may include advocacy, case management, ongoing follow-up, emergency room on-call services, death notification, grief counseling, and/or trauma intervention services. Funding for this procurement is available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant program. Federal funds cover 100% of this contract(s).
