In addition to providing quality services, The Department of Early Education and Care(EEC) intends to increase understanding of what quality activities lead to the best outcomes for children, parents, and educators. The goal of this project is to understand local and national data and research, catalog what is available and relevant to early childhood services in Massachusetts, and define an "Early Childhood Information System" ECIS) that will intergrate existing data, define new data sets, and establish data sharing standards and formats.
